You'd better leave. . .

Allan Williams' van, being loaded onto the ocean-going ferry that took the Beatles to Holland. . . from where they traveled on to Hamburg in August 1960.

Another tune the Beatles played during their early Hamburg days (and a little later trawling around the dance halls of Liverpool and the northwest of England) was the old R&B tune by Little Willie John, entitled Leave My Kitten Alone. As always, click on the highlighted link to hear he original tune by Mr. John. The song found its way onto a Beatles album some years later and was sung by John Lennon. Click HERE to listen to that version of the tune. Both versions are great, but I think the Beatles were wise to leave out the "meows" that follow every line in the original. Enjoy listening to both!
